Adjustable Beaded Wire Ring Tutorial

Posted in

I’ve covered many DIY adjustable wire rings before but this tutorial by Suzy Wong Studio is noteworthy for several reasons. One of them is you get the look of a pair of stacked rings.

The open part of the ring comprise of rounded wire which means there are no ends there to poke you when you adjust the size.

I also like the beaded part which lets you add color to the design should you want to.  The wire wrapping is relatively easy. I suggest you work with square wire for the ring band, half round wire for  coiling as this combination allows the coiled wire to sit neatly on the foundation wire. Plus, square wire also adds a different style to the ring.

You can also mix metal colors – say sterling silver for the foundation band and copper wire for the wrapping.
