She does make it look easy but it takes practice to be able to make consistently even 90 degree turns with the 20 G square wire. Both the turns and the square wire gives the ring its modern look.
A fair amount of hammering is needed to flatten and shape the ring around the mandrel.
The wire wrapped beads – she used tourmaline – add color to the ring. But the wire wrapping also serves to join the ends of the wire frame as well as help keep the ring shape together.
