Crushed Gemstone Inlay Ring Tutorial Without a Lathe | MyWorldofWood’s Crushed Gemstone and Ring Cores

Posted in

The crushed inlay ring design is a very popular one.  Most of the tutorials require a lathe but with a bit of elbow grease, you can make one without the equipment.

I am not sure what brand of cyanoacrylate (similar to super glue) he used but I highly recommend Starbond glue which is an excellent cyanoacrylate glue. It is used by many lapidarists and ring makers.  There is even a black color which is excellent to cover the silver background.  (Use BGSB15 to get 15% off).

Also check the links below for using crushed stone or tiny gemstone chips in resin jewelry making.

MyWorldofWood‘s wonderful ready made ring cores as well as a variety crushed pure gemstone inlay material in different textures and weights – there are no added resin derivatives. There are also meteorite crystals – the crushed Admire Pallasite Meteorite Stardust/Crystals comes with a certificate of authenticity. Great gift idea for space and astronomy fans!
Their handmade ring cores are available in different metals as well as in wood. They also have beautiful black ceramic ring cores.
